Construction continues to progress – on time and on budget – at the new Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) in Parkville.

This purpose built facility, which is scheduled to be operational in 2016, will be a major hub for cancer research, treatment, care and education in Victoria. The VCCC will also be the new home of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre as well as a range of new cancer research and clinical services for Melbourne Health.

The construction of the project has recently hit a key milestone with the excavation now complete, all four cranes installed and the first concrete pours taking place for the basement levels.

With cancer touching so many lives, the VCCC will be a wonderful facility that will provide a thorough range of cancer treatment, research and support services in one central location.

Further information on the VCCC can be found at http://www.vcccproject.vic.gov.au/
