The latest Victorian Seniors Card directory, featuring the biggest range of discount offers on record, will now be searchable online for the first time at Seniors Online.
While about 900,000 Victorian seniors will receive their 2012-2014 Tourism, Leisure and Recreation Seniors Card Directory in the mail throughout September, it is a first for the directory to also be available online.
The Victorian Coalition Government recognizes the important contribution that senior Victorians have made, and continue to make, to the community. So to improve the value of the directory for senior Victorians, the directory is online and fully searchable at www.seniorsonline.vic.gov.au with additional special offers online.
The Seniors Card program encourages older Victorians to live independent, active and healthy lives by making it more affordable to get out and about in the community.
Some of the discounts offered include offers from more than 60 health and fitness centers, discounts on surfing lessons, golf course green fees and cinema tickets amongst other goods and services from participating businesses including travel, accommodation, hospitality, entertainment and leisure.
Seniors Card holders are also entitled to receive concession rate public transport across Australia and can use their Seniors myki to access free weekend travelling within any two adjacent zones in Victoria.
The Victorian Seniors Card has been offering substantial benefits for more than 20 years and is a Victorian Coalition Government program in partnership with the private sector to encourage people who have retired, or who are working part time, to continue to participate in the community.
