One of the many benefits of living in Waverley is the extensive network of cycle and walking trails through parks and wetlands which residents can access. However invariably as a result of natural conditions and usage, these trails experience wear and tear as well as erosion.
I was pleased to join Melbourne Water at Scotchamans Creek to view significant works being undertaken to secure safe and reliable access to the trail whilst also conserving and protecting the wetlands. These works will help to stabilise the bank of the creek, reduce further erosion and improve public safety and access to the trail.
As a local resident I use Scotchmans Creek regularly and understand the importance residents place on being able to access these wetlands.
The works are now completed and further information can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?
