More support for retailers in shopping precincts

June 7th, 2013 posted by

Applications are now open for projects that aim to revitalise shopfront trading activity in local business districts.

Streetlife is a $6 million initiative of the Victorian Coalition Government that has funding over the four years to 2016 to help small traders in community shopping precincts to improve their business and retail management skills.

Councils and business or trader associations are eligible to apply for funding under the program. Individual retailers will then work in partnership with their local council or representative business or trader association on specific projects aimed at attracting more customers to their area and generate increased sales and revenue.

Applications for Round Two funding close at 5pm on 23 July 2013. For further information on the Streetlife initiative, including eligibility criteria and application processes, visit
