A new facility for MonashLink Community Health Service has recently opened in Waverley, providing further opportunity for local residents to receive the health care they need.
MonashLink Community Health Service is a community based service provider that is partially funded by the Victorian Coalition Government. It provides an extensive range of primary care, oral health and counselling services, as well as health promotion and service coordination to those within the City of Monash and surrounding areas.
The Victorian Coalition Government contributed $8.6 million to the $17.3 million facility that includes the MonashLink Community Health Services on the ground level and six levels of car spaces above. The City of Monash also provided partial funding for the new facility.
With 226 car spaces available for use by members of the public, local traders in Kingsway and surrounds will also benefit from the completion of the new building.
The environmentally-sustainable building was officially opened by the Victorian Minister for Health with a community celebration that included music and arts students from the adjacent Glen Waverley Secondary College. The car park concrete columns have been decorated in vibrant artwork by students from Glen Waverley Secondary College, with the students receiving certificates of appreciation.
