Monash children benefiting from State Government crossing guard funding

June 26th, 2013 posted by

In order to maintain the number of school crossing guards required in the City of Monash, the State Coalition Government has allocated the Council an increased subsidy of $8,000 for the 2013/14 year.

Announced by Minister for Roads, Hon Terry Mulder MLA, the funding for Monash City Council is part of a statewide allocation to ensure that local communities have the correct number of school crossing guards to assist in keeping school children safe as they walk to and from school.

The additional funding to the City of Monash will ensure that all 94 supervisor subsidies of last financial year are funded in the 2013/2014 financial year.
