A $1.8 million facelift of Glen Waverley station including a new entrance canopy, improved access ramps, new seating and a kiosk, are well on track for completion over the next 12 months.
The revamped station forecourt area was developed following feedback from more than 100 local commuters, shoppers and residents who shared their opinions and ideas on the early design concept.
The feedback revealed that the overwhelming majority of people welcomed the upgrade for its improved access and opportunity to make the station area safer, more spacious and inviting for public transport users.
Minister for Public Transport, Terry Mulder MP, recently visited the site to see how the works were progressing and said the constructive feedback from the community on the project would ensure the final design best met the needs of commuters and shoppers in the busy Kingsway precinct.
