Electorate

  MW New Boundaries

In 2002, the electoral commission redrew the Victorian state electorate boundaries. As part of this process it abolished the former electorates of Bennettswood and Glen Waverley, and created the new electorate of Mount Waverley.

The Mount Waverley electorate is located approximately 14 kilometres east of Melbourne and includes the suburbs of Mt Waverley and Glen Waverley.

The electorate is predominantly residential with a strong service-based economy, diverse education opportunities and quality parks and recreation amenities. These characteristics are also reflective of the values held by many local residents – support for free enterprise and personal initiative, recognition of the importance of education and the conservation of our natural environment. As a local resident and active member of our community, these are values I share and will advocate for on behalf of the people of Waverley.
