Australia’​s first 3D imaging laboratory opens at Monash Medical Centre

Clearer, faster and more detailed test results will be available for Waverley residents after Australia’s first 3D imaging laboratory was recently opened by the Victorian Coalition Government at the Monash Medical Centre.

In an Australian first, the 3D imaging machine allows doctors to get a much clearer and more detailed picture of organs, skeletal problems and tumors than previous technology provided. Through clearer imaging of patients, doctors will be better placed to tailor treatment to individual patient needs and circumstances.

Australia’s first 3D imaging laboratory at the Monash Medical Centre will also assist to significantly reduce waiting times for patient test results, allowing doctors to respond to patient needs more quickly.

This cutting edge technology will be of enormous assistance to many Waverley residents in delivering a better health service in a more timely manner.

The new laboratory was officially opened by the Victorian Minister for Health in Monash.
