The new Essex Heights Primary School has been officially opened by the Minister for Education, Martin Dixon MP.

As part of the Victorian Coalition Government’s education modernisation program, a $7.2 million rebuild was undertaken at Essex Heights Primary School. The School rebuild included;

  • 20 new classrooms across three distinct learning communities
  • a new reception hub, library, learning area for special needs students, as well as extensive site redevelopment

The rebuild project was successfully planned and implemented with tremendous support from the school community. I particularly thank the school community for their dedication and commitment in delivering this significant education project.

The completion of the $7.2 million redevelopment of Essex Heights Primary School is the second major government school capital works project completed by the Victorian Coalition Government in Waverley. It follows the completion and official opening of the $10.5 million rebuilt Mt Waverley Secondary College Junior Campus by the Minister for Education in 2012.

With both the $4.7 million rebuild of Pinewood Primary School and the $2 million refurbishment of Mt Waverley North Primary School currently underway, the historic rebuilding program of local government schools in Waverley is in full swing.
